Bivši hokejaši su pokazali zanimljivu igru na ledenoj ploči, a domaćin “Spartak” je uz tri pobede zauzeo drugo mesto u svojoj grupi. Subotičani su jedini poraz pretrpeli na otvaranju turnira od kanadske ekipe “North hockey”.

Last year, during one weekend in Subotica, former hockey players from Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Canada, and Bulgaria gathered for the 19th “Winter Classic” veterans tournament.
As in the previous year, 15 teams competed in a single age category, 40+, with the best teams being “Noćne ptice,” “North Hockey,” and “Drvene nogice,” who secured first places in their respective groups. “Spartak” finished in second place in Group B.
The teams were divided into three groups. Group A featured: “Jesenice” (Slovenia), “Noćne ptice,” “Vojvodina” (Serbia), “Dinamo” (Bulgaria), and “Silesian” (Czech Republic). Competing for the top spot in Group B were: “Spartak,” “Kraljevi” (Serbia), “Legends,” “North Hockey” (Canada), and “Izvrstni Posamezniki” (Slovakia). Group C included: “Čunjevi,” “Drvene nogice” (Serbia), “Old Boys” (Slovakia), “Kol and Vazhe” (Bulgaria), and “Kiškoroš” (Hungary).

The former hockey players put on an exciting display on the ice, and the host team “Spartak,” with three victories, finished second in its group. The Subotica team suffered its only defeat in the tournament opener against the Canadian team “North Hockey.”
